TMRSis made up of an incredible group of volunteers from many walks of life who are all passionate about our oceans and helping people out when things don’t go to plan on the water.
TMRS have different types of volunteers including those performing the rescues (known as active volunteers), to fundraising, administration roles, training and maintenance.
Active volunteers can be called up at any time of the day to help rescue those in need, and long hours can be spent out at sea in potentially treacherous conditions. These volunteers must be willing to spend lengths of time both on board a vessel and in the water so physical fitness it key.
Training exercises are continually performed throughout the year as well as various opportunities to up skill, including practical experience and accreditation qualifications.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer in any capacity at TMRS, we would love to hear from you. Head to our Contact Us page to get in touch.
